Announced Losses

Hi All,

Since my last post on August 15, 2010, our armed services have sustained 23 losses in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Thirteen (13) members of the US Army were lost; nine (9) from the US Marine Corps and one (1) from the US Navy.

Two (2) losses were in Iraq and the remaining twenty-one (21) in Afghanistan.

One of the losses from the US Army is from New York State.  On August 17, Staff Sgt. Derek J. Farley, 24, from Nassau, NY, lost his life while attempting to disarm an IED.

Thank you to all who have made the supreme sacrafice. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace.
